The Code
The complete Public Review Edition, Version 1.0 (July 2026), as navigable pages — or as a versioned PDF for download, printing, and citation.
The code is a four-layer architecture. Each layer answers a different question, and each depends on the others: principles without standards remain abstract; standards without evaluation go unexamined; evaluation without accountability has no consequence.
Introduction & Orientation
The Author’s Note, the document’s architecture, how to engage it, and its status, scope, and relationship to existing professional and legal obligations.
Part I · Principles
Eleven binding ethical commitments — from epistemic humility and the priority of persons over frameworks to non-exploitation and the responsible use of power — each with interpretive commentary.
Part II · Standards of Practice
Concrete expectations across eight domains — teaching, coaching, contemplative facilitation, community leadership, developmental assessment, public discourse, organizational intervention, and AI-assisted metatheory tools — plus twelve cross-cutting standards.
Part III · Evaluation Criteria
Eight practices of ethical maturation — self-assessment, peer reflection, developmental review, stakeholder feedback, recommitment, case-based reflection, public learning, and structural review — organized in tiers of expectation.
Part IV · Accountability & Governance
The special dangers of integrative power, a graduated seven-stage accountability process, protections for those who raise concerns, the Ethics Council, and the code’s safeguards against its own misuse.
